This years College Basketball season, has been nothing short of phenominal. You think a team is a power house, and then next thing you know, they are losing to teams like Maryland, and Texas. With UCONN losing to Pitt on Monday night this week, we knew we would get a new number 1 come tomorrow.
Oklahoma was primed to take the number 1 spot. Enter Texas. Texas layed the wood to Oklahoma, and in the process took out Blake Griffin. So whose going to be number 1? Enter UNC. Well, UNC played earlier then Oklahoma did yesterday, but they wouldnt show up, as Maryland beat them in OT. With all the bickering going on in Maryland, you wouldnt think they would be able to pull it all together, and beat UMD, but they did.
So whose number 1? With 1,2, and 3 all losing this week, I guess for the 2nd time this season, and the 2nd time in the history of Pitt basketball, they will be holding down the top spot. Levance Fields, and Dejuan Blair are poised for a big run in the dance, lets see if history repeats itself. Or, can they hold it down? Time will tell.
PS. Great game tonight. Wake Forest takes on the Dukies baby.
