With the NFL Draft right around the corner, its time to think about who the unlucky rookie that the Jets will draft, and in turn ruin his career.
As an avid Jets fan, and a hater on college football, I'm sure i will have many on my draftboard, but right now I want 1 guy, and that guy is.......
Hakeem Nicks from UNC. This kid looks like a real deal NFL receiver. I watched the Meineke Car Care Bowl which slated UNC and West Va. This was actually one of the best bowl games i watched the entire bowl season this year. West Va won, but thats not what i cared about. Hakeem Nicks just went to work that game. 8 catches for 217 yards, and 3 damn touchdowns. Also, he might have had the catch of the year. Most Jets receivers dont have 3 tds in a month, this dude had them in 1 game.
Cotchery/Nicks/Clowney would be an awesome receiving core in my mind, and I am hoping the powers that be will bring this pipe dream to fruition.
We can even get that dude who introduces the Chicago Bulls starting 5 to introduce him to NY. "From North Carolina, at Wide Receiver, 6-1 Hakeeeeeeeem Nicks"
