We Goin' To Post Up On The Top Spot

Well, 20 games since Arod has been back, and the Yanks went 15-5. More importantly, from 4th place, to 1st place. They have been playing amazing ball, getting great efforts all around. This is the first time since the end of the 2006 season that they are in first place by themselves.

The Yanks have had the pitching, and hitting clicking at the same time for the first time in a long time. To me, it seems like ARod has brought this team together. Texiera has hit like 900 since he has returned, and they just dont seem to be losing. They had a 9 game winning streak, and won all series' but 1.

Jorge Posada returned tonight, and the season outlook is very bright. Hold onto your hats, the Yankees are coming through.

In the end, it all comes back together...

Not to get too heart felt on you, but so often in todays world we forget the things that really matter, and get caught up in the small stuff, like another Derek Jeter 6-4-3 double play. Then, there comes a time when real life transcends the sports world, and for a moment in time albeit it a short one we take a step back and realize that it really is just a game. I'm a believer in the universe, and that things are meant to happen, and that in the end there is a great balance that controls the fabric of society. For death, there is life. As many of you know, the trio is now part owner in a race horse named WriteThatDown. We purchased our share through Fantasy Lane Stable (FLS), and that is where this story begins.

In May of 2004, the President of FLS, Mr. Bob Hutt recieved a phone call from a good friend of his who is involved in these horse auctions. The friend INSISTED that Mr. Hutt buy a particular horse. Bob however recieved this phone call just hours before the auction, and couldnt bring himself to spend his partners hard earned money on a "tip" without giving it his own due diligence. That horse was purchased for $75,000 and his name was Afleet Alex. For anyone who is familiar with the horse racing game that means something to you, and for those who are not...he finished 3rd in the Kentucky Derby, then went on to win both the Preakness, and Belmont Stakes. Afleet Alex was named after a little girl Alexandra "Alex" Scott who was diagnosed with childhood cancer. Alex unfortunately would succomb to her disease at the young age of 8 (you can check out more about Alex and the foundation that she set up at http://www.alexslemonade.org/). While Mr. Hutt and the rest of the FLS family only knew of Alex through their near miss of buying Afleet Alex, they like all others who were aware of the story had their hearts and prayers with the little girls family.

Fast forward to April of this year. Bob is down in Ocala, FL at an auction, ready to buy one of his prized 2 year old horses. Not only did he snag one, but they actually purchased two. One of the horses happened to be a filly (thats a female horse for those of you who are unaware) whose Sire (father) was...you guessed it Afleex Alex. Bob was thrilled to have purchased the offspring of the champion horse he just missed out on. Last thing to do would be to name the horse...

FLS allows all partners to suggest a name, and then they are voted on. One of the e-mails was sent from a partner named Ron out in Idaho. In his heartfelt e-mail, Ron explained that his wife's best's friends daughter is in her final stages of cancer. A little girl named Joyce, from the Netherlands. Ron suggested Joyce's Angel as the name of the Afleex Alex filly. Being a man who believes in fate, Bob agreed that this was indeed something that was meant to be. FLS now has "Joyce's Angel" running it it's stable. The story does not end there however...most of, if not all of the FLS partners showed just how kind the human spirit can be. Ron had mentioned that he was trying to fly Joyce and her family to the United States (a place that she had never been before, but always dreamed of going to) within a few hours offers of money, and sky miles were being sent to Ron to help get Joyce and her family over to the states. Joyce's father was concerned that the trip would take too much of a toll on her, but after consulting her Doctor, the family was advised that the trip was a go. In either July or August, god willing Joyce and her family will fly to New Jersey. Joyce will get to visit New York, and also take a tour of the barn area at Monmouth park, and award a trophy to the winning owners of a race.

In a show of the balance of the universe, a missed opportunity five years ago, a second chance five years later, and the continued honor of little Alex Scott. When put up against it, the compassion of the human spirit is unmatched. All of the FLS partners can't wait to meet our new hero this summer, Joyce.

If you have any interest in learning more about Joyce's story, or making a donation on her behalf please send us an e-mail at efyousports@gmail.com.

MADDEN!!!

Well, school is out so that means the summer is almost here. With the summer comes hot weather, babes in bikini's, fantasy football, and MADDEN!!!

With Madden '10 in development (or testing, I don't know) there are six players who are getting the coveted 99 rating! They are the following:

1. Peyton Manning
2. Larry Fitzgerald
3. Nmandi Asomugha
4. Albert Haynesworth
5. Ed Reed
6. Troy Polamalu

Can't say I agree with the Polamalu one though. Oh well, here are the top rated players by position.

Birdman: Time To Fly

With all this talk about Josh Hamilton last year, no one mentions the come back of Chris Anderson aka The Birdman. He served a 2 year suspension from the league for drug abuse, but is back, and flying high (not high on drugs, high on life).

Last year, everyone was all over Josh Hamilton, and his story. This year, why not Birdman? He did the same thing Hamilton did. He has been back since last year, but he is having a great playoffs, and deserves some respect. Although, it would have been better if he had stayed away from the drug game, we can not change the past, only the future. Good for you Chris, stay clean.

He is quite the role player. Always there to get boards, and a tip, but we all know Birdman thrives off the dunk. He straight up throws it down hard. Ever watch an interview with him? Very humble, always complimenting others before himself, he is a story waiting to happen. If it happened already, forward it to me. I want to read it.

Kobe Sucks
-Brian

Big Papi???

What's up with him? He is a complete joke this year. I can think of 2 things that have led to this.

A) He is off the juice.

B) Without protection from Manny, Papi is a joke.

With A. I hope Papi never juiced. You guys know that I dont care about juicing and what not, but, he has came out with the hard stance on juicing. I would hate for him to be a hypocrite.

B. Maybe he never juiced, and without Manny, he just sucks. I hope its B. LOL.. Manny FTW.

All these people come down on Arod saying his stats are worthless cause of steroids and what not. Well, Should the Red Sucks World Series rings be taken away? He cheated right? He was a huge part of that team. Its something for you haters to think about.

-Brian

Gimme Another

The end of our Yankee bet is coming to an end. Through 17 games, the Yanks are 13-4. Pretty good record huh? The bats are on fire, and the starters arent bad either. Today, they beat the heck out of the Texas Rangers 11-1, thanks to ARod 5-5, and a gem thrown by Philly Hughes.

This team is clicking on all cylinders. Texiera is a mawnsta since the return of Alex. Melky is a walk off machine, Cervelli has been an unexpected treat, and Alfredo Aceves is living up to his nickname, Ace.

Looks like Eric will be buying me Home on 8th. YES!!!!!!!.

I hope i didnt jinx myself. Yanks need to win 1 out of the next 3. I hope they can do it.

The "Mayne Event" Sweepstakes

Well folks, so much for any miracles at this years NBA Lottery. Former New York Knicks legend Allan Houston held it down for us as a representative at this years draft and just like his final five years in the NBA, he was pretty much useless. As projected, the Knicks walk away with the #8 pick in the draft. The irony, 8 losing seasons... We get the 8th pick. Fucking Busch league.

Mock drafts project us to take last years NCAA Cinderella story, Stephen Curry from Davidson. Now don't get me wrong, homeboy can shoot lights out, (like father like son) but in all honesty, he is not what the Knicks need. First off, the boy probably weighs a little more than me, soaking wet. If he's running the point, the dudes are going to eat ol' boy alive, believe that!

He's a pure shooter. Not a point guard. It wasn't until this year when Davidson went about trying to convert him into a point guard. And do you know what that resulted in? Davidson not getting an NCAA berth.

Now if the Knicks go about picking Eric Maynor here are the upsides. Maynor spent four years running the point at Virginia Commonwealth University , a mid major juggernaut and fellow CAA rival. So the dude has experience, the fundamentals to run an offense and to top it off, a killer instinct in the clutch. Nothing but ice water in his veins.

The campaign for the "Eric Mayne Event Maynor to N.Y." officially begins...... NOW! Fuck a Blake Griffin. This is the draft of Maynor!

Holla at ya boy!

Best Week Ever.

As reported earlier by Perez Hilton, it seems the one and only Sir Alexander Emanual Rodriguez is getting down with Kate Hudson. That's whats up Arod, do you baby. Picture this guys week. He returns to Yanks, who were missssssssssssserable without him. Now they are flying high, with an 8-2 record, and a season high 4 games over .500. He hits a walk-off homerun, while this A-List actress/dime piece is there to watch him play. He balls out at night in a club that he takes over a room with her, and crushes at night. To modify a line from Big Pun, "I'm a player, and I just crush a lottttttttttttttt"

Arod all day, everyday

Lets Wrestle For It

With the Western Conference Finals on deck, an obstactle is in place for Denver already. It seems like the WWE and Game 4 are both scheduled for the Pepsi Center, same night, same time. I am sure most of you have heard the story, if not, you heard it first at efyousports.blogspot.com (shameless plug).

My answer to this is.... WHO CARES. It's wrestling. Who the ef cares about wrestling anymore? I know many people do, but cmon, we are in a recession so to speak, and people are still paying to watch guys dance around in tights? Seems kinda Jeter to me.

The NBA has told Denver the game will take place at its normal slated day and time. Which is what I wanted to hear. Although I loathe the NBA, the playoffs have been exciting, and I would take the Bobcats/Thunder over a Stone Cold/Ultimate Warrior Battle of the Generations match any day of the week. According to Vince McMahon, there will be an event that night, whether its in a parking lot, or not. I applaud Vince for being a savvy business man. How can one man drag this show out so long?

My Picks are Nuggets/Cavs Finals. I love JJ Redick, and Lebron, and hate both the Nuggets, and Lakers. Is it weird that Kobe is returning to Colorado? Hopefully he doesnt choke anyone out this time. Maybe even have consensual sex? With Kobe ya never know. Jewelers nationwide are excited of the return of Kobe to Denver, as is Shelley Smith, the annoying ESPN announcer who covered his trial.

Write That Down...

Our baby has arrived, he's a 2 year old Bay Colt by Read the Footnotes. His name is WriteThatDown. Look for him to basically own the world of horse racing in the coming months (or at least try and win once). He fetched $60,000 at the Fasig-Tipton Mid Atlantic auction this morning, and we couldnt be happier.

The Trio will keep you updated as to his progress...

LOL @ Boston

Man, it's great to be a New Yawka this week. We have the Yanks go 7-2 since the return of the all mighty A-Rod, We have Bruins lose in Game 7 at home, Celtics lose at home game 7 at home, and the Red Sucks go 2-4 this week.
Without looking it up, I think this is the 4th time ever, that the Celtics have lost a game 7 played in their building. The game winning assist came early, but it was quite the dime, and that was served by JJ Redick. Marv and Reggie were all over the guy. He had a great shooting performance, hitting a big 3, and dropping dimes on everyone.

The Bruins lost their game 7 in OT. It was awesome. That hurts soooooooo much. I have no sympathy for them though. I HATE THEM.

To add fuel to the fire. ABOMBS hits a walkoff 2 run home run yesterday. All ya'll know how much i love AROD. The guy is turning the team around. 7-2 since his return. AROD FTW.

My bet is looking good as well. 7-2. As long as I go 7-4 over the course of the next 11 games, Eric owes me a lunch at Home on 8th.

This dude James Harrison..

Steelers' Harrison Skips Trip To White House
16th May, 2009 - 4:38 pm
imageMSNBC - Pittsburgh linebacker James Harrison will not join his teammates on a trip to the White House this coming Thursday.

President Obama invited the Steelers to Washington D.C. to honor them for winning the Super Bowl over the Cardinals.

"This is how I feel -- if you want to see the Pittsburgh Steelers, invite us when we don't win the Super Bowl. As far as I'm concerned, he [Obama] would've invited Arizona if they had won," said Harrison.

For what it's worth, Harrison also skipped the team's trip to the White House back in 2006 following their Super Bowl XL win

Back For More Punishment...

So anyone who read my Kentucky Derby posts knows that I didnt do so well. The beauty of the game is that it's only 2weeks later and tomorrow we have the 2nd leg of the recently elusive triple crown The Preakness Stakes.

Here is my analysis:

#1 Big Drama - A very good Colt, with a lot of front running speed, will probably be on the lead as they head for home, but I think the distance will be a bit too far for him and he will fade.

#2 Mine That Bird - Won the Derby in stunning fashion, but I think it was a matter of the others not being on their game and him running a once in a liftime race. I think you end up seeing him finish in the 3rd-6th range.

#3 Musket Man - Nobody has anything bad to say about this horse, he always runs a good race, but I dont think he's the best horse out there. It wouldnt suprise me if he won, but I'm leaving him out.

#4 Luv Gov - THROWOUT

#5 Fresian Fire - This was my Derby horse, and he had every excuse in the world to not win 2 weeks ago. Tomorrow's race will show us what he has. I backed him vs. 18 other horses, I might as well back him against 12 others. I'm using him in my picks.

#6 Terrain - Late runner who might pass a few tired horses to finish in the 3rd-6th range, but not good enough to win.

#7 Papa Clem - See Musket Man, always seems to run solid, and it wouldnt suprise me, but I'm not going to use him.

#8 General Quarters - I think he was a bit overrated coming into the Derby, and I dont think he has what it takes to win here.

#9 Pioneer of the Nile - Seems like the most likely horse to win this race. Probably would have won the Derby if it wasnt for a monster run by Mine that Bird. I will be using him.

#10 Flying Private - THROWOUT

#11 Take the Points - This is my longshot pick. He is a solid runner, and he is fresh since he didnt run in the Derby. He has the best jockey in the world on him (Edgar Prado), and I think he's primed to make a big run (His ML odds of 30-1 are great too). I'm using him.

#12 Tone it Down - THROWOUT

#13 Rachel Alexanra - She is the race favorite, but the reality is she's still only a filly against the boys. I'm going to try and beat her, it is VERY possible that she could be a "super horse" and win this race. Lets just hope that it's not at the expense of her career as it so often is when females run against the males.

Just made my Preakness bet: $10 Exacta Box #5,9,11 = $60 bet

Good luck to all.

And away we go......

The Official J.R. Smith Appreciation Post

Last night, the Denver Nuggets completed a five game series against the Dallas Mavericks to advance to the Western Conference finals to face either the Lake Show or the Rockets. As I type, the Rockets hold a 42-25 lead over the bitch ass Lakers. Haha but I can't front though. I want to see a Nuggets/Lakers showdown just like the rest of you.

To me, the wild card for Denver is going to be the play of fifth year star J.R. Smith. The New jersey high school product is averaging a little over 16 ppg but it's not what he stuffs the stat sheet with that makes him important...

The Nuggets are the only team who possess a Swagga on a hundred, thousand. TRILLION! (Werd to Weezy F.) They can thank good ol' J.R. for that. My dude just doesn't give a damn what anybody thinks. He'll run up the score on you and will continue to get under the skin of the opposing team. Antoine Wright last night is a perfect example of someone getting real salty while J.R. was dropping bombs and stylin' on em.

So as of now, my team the Lebronaliers are still the team I want to see taking home the championship. My homie Rashard Lewis and the Magic are a close runner-up, and and the Swag Surfin' Nuggets in third!

Jeterian No More

As the Yankees season progresses, 1 thing stands out at me. Derek Jeter WAS a great player, now, he is an average player. I don't see him as a leadoff hitter anymore. I would love for Girardi to switch Damon to the 1 hole, and Cano up to 2. Jeter can bat 6 or 7. I feel every game we start out with a quick out, and than need Damon to do something (which he usually does). Last year Jeter didnt bat over .300, and he isnt this year. Tonight, he had a big hit, the game tying single, but these big hits are few and far between at this current time in his career. I know some people are going to say I am crazy, and I dont know anything about Baseball, but I really do. I watch most games, and I am just a realist. This isnt the Jeter of old. It would be amazing if it was, but its just not.

The bet is going well. The Yanks are 4-2 since the bet, and the return of A-Rod. Although Alex hasnt been producing on a consistant basis yet, his presence in the lineup alone makes people better. This team needed him back.

Tonights game was awesome. A hard fought Yankee win. CC was dealing, and the bottom of the lineup delivered again. This season is shaping up to be an exciting one.

Spanning The World

We had another celebrity sighting today, and I wanted to make everyone aware of it. Len Berman, the mayne man in sports was on the Stern show today. He was plugging his website, and like all fans of his, I checked it out. I mustered up enough courage to email him, and wish him the best in his future. No more than 10 minutes had passed when I checked my inbox, and he had personally replied to me. We exchanged a few emails, he loved the blog, and that was that. He is a great guy, and I hope he lands another gig soon, it couldnt happen to a better person. http://lenbermansports.com/

Thanks Len

2-1

So after a Saturday beatdown, we had a big win for us on Mothers Day. Saturday Night Philly Hughes was borderline attrocious. We lost 12-5, and had nothing to cheer about. I was 1-1 in the bet, and I wasnt too happy. Thankfully, it was only 1 day, and Sunday was a new one. Joba took the hill, and again had a rocky start, allowing 3 first inning runs. Joba being Joba, that was the extent of the runs scored in that game. Johnny Damonic hit a huuuuuuuge 3 run HR in the top of the 7th, to put us ahead 5-3, and we never looked back. 2-1. Tonight, Doc Halladay is facing our beloved AJ Burnett. Lets go Yanks.

Going for 3-1

It's Over

Hofstra Universities Lacrosse season has come to an end today. They went up to Ithaca, NY, and were knocked off by the Big Red of Cornell. Hofstra never led in todays game. It was a back and forth battle, but Cornell was too much for the Pride today. I am not the biggest Lax fan, but I do enjoy watching Hofstra play. I guess there is always next year right?

With Pride
-Brian

1-0

Like I said, Arod comes back, and the Yanks go on a tear. Already 1-0, and just rollllllllling. Last night CC Sabathia was a warrior like usual, throwing a complete game shutout. That doesnt surprise me, he has pitched well all year, just was usually on the unlucky side of things. Enter Arod. First pitch he sees on the season, he hits over some fencing set up in the outfield. A 3 run home run in the top of the 1st inning. Ironic? No. Thats just Arod being Arod.
13-6 FTW

1-0

Ya'll Ready???

It's that time of year again, where i've sworn off the Yankees, only to say "No, the Yanks are the best team in baseball, and are going on a winning streak." Well, Lets gooooooo.
Tonight, Sabathia takes the bump in Bal-tee-more looking, and is looking for a rebound start not only for himself, but for Yankee Universe. Here is a guarantee. The Yankees will win 14 out of their next 20 games. They will go 14-6, over the span of 3 weeks. Does that sound crazy? Quick reference, ask Jumpoff J, as he and I made a bet a few years back, and the Yanks rattled off 10 straight wins. This time, Eric and I have a lunch bet. Loser of the bet pays for the others lunch at our favorite eatery in NYC, Home on 8th (free plug for them, as they just raised their effin price)

So getcha popcorn ready, Arod is back.

Lets Go Yanks
-Brian
PS. Arod is alone in the dugout, cause he is digging this team outta the rut HIMSELF. Arod is Yankee Baseball

So the Trios adventures continue...

Yes I know you're probably all still mad at me for costing you hundreds of dollars with my Kentucky Derby picks, but get real you know you only lost about $15 and added an extra zero or two to sound like a baller. Speaking of Ballers, yours truly, along with 5 partners in crime have just purchased a small share in a race horse through Fantasy Lane Stables. He/She is going to be purchased at the Fasig-Tipton Midatlantic 2 year olds in training auction in a week or two.

We're expecting a good time with this one, and hopefully (fingers crossed) a few trips to the winners circle. Regardless we will be spending quite a few days at Monmouth Park this summer, and all who read this are welcome to join us in the barn and take pictures with the horse, etc etc.

And all of the sudden, it's no longer only the horse, but the Trio et al who are off......

Karma is a BITCH!

If you've been following the blog for the past couple of month's you already know my stance on the steroids and performance enhancing drugs in sports. Unlike Bry-guy, I am a firm believer in keeping the game pure, without it's players tainting the game (a la A-Roids) with their cheat pills.

So today, my homeboy Manny Ramirez was suspended by Major League Baseball after testing positive for performance enhancing drugs. Now unlike Brian's boyfriend Gay-rod, Manny was "unaware" that the medication given to him by a physician was banned under the MLB's drug policy.

Yuuupp. All the shit I talked about A-roids before the season started all comes back to kick me in the nuts. Now I'm not changing my views after one incident. I am still a firm believer in keeping sports drug-free. But for this instance, Manny was just careless with the medication he had taken. I don't believe he purposely took it to make himself a better player. Dude is just so carefree and so down to earth. It's just Manny being Manny. If he was on the decline in his career, he wouldn't take anything to get better. He'll just shrug off, and have fun with the game until he retires.

But yeah, it's truly a sad day in baseball. 50 games without Manny?

When does Fantasy Football start?

-Jumpoff J

#13 On The Field, #1 In Your Heart

Alexander Emanuel Rodriguez returns to the Yankees tomorrow, and I couldnt be happier. For all you A-Rod bashers out there, look at this team without him. The Yanks are the laughing stock of baseball right now, and are getting worse game by game without Sir Alex.

Arod is arguablly one of the best players in baseball history, but has a knack for taking heat. He doesnt hit in the playoffs according to most. While that might be true, its a wonder where this team would be without Arod. Playoffs? PLAYOFFS? PLAYOFFSSSSS??? Thats a joke. I think Alexander The Great is primed for a great year, and I will be damned if he doesnt go off.

I was talking to a good friend of mine today, Bryan. He said that its ironic that Arod is coming back, and Manny Ramirez is taking his spot in the steroid bench. It's kind of weird. Two of the best players in the history of the game are replacing one another on the steroid spotlight. I am sure John will drop a blog later slobbing Mannys knob, but, we all know Manny is MY dude since he landed in the NL. Its just Manny being Manny my friend.

As i write this blog, the Yankees are losing, and havent had a lead in a game since Saturday May 2nd. Its Thursday May 7th now. Can you imagine not having a lead for over 5 days? ahahah.. BTW they lost Saturdays game. I know the Yankees are coming out swinging tomorrow, and for the rest of the season. You heard it hear first. Yanks win 90 games this year. Arod for MVP.

Kobe=Trash

Man, I hate this dude. He gets away with everything. He just threw a 'bow at Ron Artest and got him ejected. Kobe, you're not Jordan, your not King James. Kobe cheated on his wife, raped a woman, than bought his wife back with a ring? Cmon son, you a faker. Who is in your posse? No one. Lebron is boys with Jay-Z, Kobe gets no love, cause everyone knows he is trash. Has Kobe done anything good? Everytime I see him, he is crying to the ref, or crying in a press conference. His own team doesnt even really like him. As I am writing this Kobe gets T'ed up. Cry me a river you punk ass bitch. I officially HATE the Fakers. Lets go Houston. Although I wouldnt mind seeing Lebron do this kid dirty in the finals.

Hofstra/Cornell

So Hofstra has made the NCAA tourney, and will be taking on the Big Red from Cornell, this Saturday at 5pm. ESPNU will carry this contest, and hopefully Hofstra can pull it out. In true Hofstra fashion, they stumbled to end the year. This is a huge game, due to what is at stake. First off, a win puts us into the Elite 8. Second, The Elite 8 is being held at Hofstra. Please pull through. Please.

No Horsing Around

The Trio is looking to make its first purchase together. We are buying a few shares of a horse that might race. Does anyone want to maybe get in on this with us? We here at efyousports will not be charging people more than what is needed. We want to share these special moments with you. He will be racing at Monmouth Park, as well as training there. Hopefully he races elsewhere also. Please inquire within. Send all emails to us at efyousports@gmail.com, all questions will be answered in a timely manner, and we cant wait to hear from you. Once again, this is a big step in our blogging career, and we couldnt be happier. Please be a part of this special summer with us.

Efyousports

Its a Wrap

The Yankees are garbage. Until A-Rod comes back on Friday, I am writing this team off. They have no will to win, they show no emotion, and they just flat out suck. Another night, another loss for this team. I am not surprised. They got down 4-0 before stepping to the plate, and like most teams with no heart, the game was over, before it started.

Many people loved the fact that Clueless Joe got ejected last night, and soon after the Yanks went back to back. Whatever, they still lost. Many people like Clueless Joe was a former Yankee catcher. Whatever we are a .500 baseball team. I kinda hate Yankee fans who love ALL our ex players. Cmon, was Matt Nokes that great? Kevin Maas? As fans, we have to root for what is on the field now, not in years past. Jeter WAS great, he WAS "Jumpmannnnnnnn", he was Jeterian. Now he is Derek Jeter, a shortstop who bats leadoff for the Yanks. Bernie Williams WAS a great player, he wasnt when he was forced into early retirement. I actually love the fact the yanks didnt sign him to some outrageous old person contract (see Jorge Posada and Mariano Rivera new deals). People have to let the past go. The Yanks are an effin joke right now. We havent won since 2000. 9 years has past. I went to the game this past Saturday, and sat in front of people who knew absolutely nothing about the game, but Jeter is awesome, and when they showed Paulie O highlights the kid had multiple orgasms. Give it up. Its nice to see highlights of them, but present time, the Yanks are 13-13, and 0-5 vs. Boston.

Also, I hate people who bitch about ticket prices, who still talk about Bernie Williams, Paulie O, and The Real Derek Jeter. Those teams are in the past. If you are paying for tickets now, and still want to talk about those guys, please dont get offended when you see the fce value on your ticket higher than you expected it to be. Those teams were a dynasty. You have to pay to see teams like that, its worth the premium. If you are like me, and dont care about those teams anymore, cause at minimum, it was 9 years ago, than yes, you can have a gripe with ticket prices. Win now, and you can charge now. Otherwise, I aint paying for this crap. Who wants to pay 100 bucks face value for a second tier seat to watch your team lose 5-0? Not I. At the same time, I would never ever pay to see a baseball game in the new stadium just yet. Its just not worth it. I've been to a game, and it was fun, but its not the same. All you hear at the games is "oh dis ticket was so expensive" , or "yo Jeter is awwwesome". It doesnt get much better then chillin at home, and listening to Michael Kay and co. Especially when they are down 6-0. You can change the channel.

I think I needed this blog to vent some. I hated the Yanks going into it, and to be honest, I want to tell ya'll that I dont anymore, but I still do. Can I call them a team? Should I call them employees? I know what I should call them.... AN EMBARASSMENT. Wake the fuck up. Win a game. Chicks Dig The Longball is the old addage, right? How about playing above .500, and maybe a double. A double is a hit that gets you 2 bases, but, weird thing is.. YOU HAVE TO HUSTLE, AKA RUN HARD.

Yankees Suck (for now)

PS. I will always root for the Yanks, but they blow hard right now

If you're one of the rare few that actually enjoy following football (soccer for you bloody Americans) the second leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-finals started today. As an Arsenal fan, it was a relief to see that the Gooners were finally making strides to some silverware instead of settling with third or fourth place.

And then came this afternoon, when fellow Premiership powerhouse Manchester United came to Emirates stadium and laid a beatdown on the Gunners, 3-1 final score. At least they brought the pain early. 11 minutes into regulation, United scored two early goals, one being a 45-yard BOMB by no other than the beautiful one himself (No homo) Cristiano Ronaldo.

I'm not mad though. I like Manchester United. Mainly because of Cristiano, but who wouldn't cheer for such a talented player like Cristiano? Fucking A yo, the Gooners were so close to FINALLY winning some silverware. That's why it hurts...

Can It Happen???

Can the Red Sox actually sweep the Yankees this season? The Red Sox have never lost a game in the NEW Yankee Stadium, and since its open date, the Sawx have'nt lost to the Yanks a single time. They are 4-0 this year vs. us, and look to be a much better team.

The Yankee way is the losing way as of late. 6-4 last night in the bottom of the ninth. Gardner pinch hits for Berroa, slaps an infield single to short, next batter (Jeter) gets hits by the first pitch he sees. This was all vs. Crapelbon, who threw 11 pitches in the 8th before coming out for the 9th. As a Yankee fan, I am asking myself "Who will the scapegoat be tonight?" Well, Damon up, Damon out. Texiera up, Texiera out. Swisher up, and he walked actually to load the bases. It bring up Cano, and Whadya Know, Cano is out. Ball game over, Yankees lose, Thaaaaaaaaaaaaa Yankees lose.

You FAIL!!!

What a past few months its been for the Chamberlain Family. First we have Joba pulled over for drunk driving, and today Jobas mother has been arrested for selling drugs.

Where does this trash come from? Nebraska? You would think, with Joba making all this money, they would stear clear of all this bullshit. I am yet to be amazed as a sports fan though. Why the EF would you need to sell drugs if your son is a bonafied star in the major leagues? Its completely mind boggling.

Here's to you Chamberlain Family-YOU FAIL

"Turn my swag onnnn"

Well folks, the Ayatollah of swag is back!!! Pretty Boy Floyd ended my boxing misery this past weekend when he announced that he will be ending his eternal 16 month retirement to fight current lightweight champ Juan Manuel Marquez on July 18th, in where else but the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, NV.

I'm going to be real, Marquez is def no pushover. Much respect to him. But we're talking about the TRUE pound-for-pound king here. Mr. 39-0. The Hundred Millie Dollar Man. It ain't nothing.

Granted, Money May does his business with Marquez, we can finally settle the debate on whom the true P4P king is. Now another story was brewing in the desert before Money May stole the spotlight. "Current" pound-for-pound king Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao dominated British boxing icon Ricky Hatton with a second round knockout. Then again, Money beat his ass first, and gave the Hitman his first defeat before Pacman's win. Don't get me wrong, I'm a Pacman fan myself, and love what he's done for his people and the sport of boxing.

I don't want to get ahead of myself. But it'd be fuckin epic to have Money May and Pacman duke it out.

"Lifestyle, Flashy!" Yepppp.

Ohhhhhhhh Snap!!!!!

King James is just 24, but is really holding it down. My dude just snagged his 1st MVP trophy, and is poised for another trip to the NBA Finals.

I watched the Lebron interview on Sportscenter tonight, and he mentioned that his son, who is no older than 4, is already getting phone calls about colleges and what not. That is some ballin (no pun intended) ass shit. Hopefully in the next round it pits the Magic vs. Cavs, so either way, im repping a team in the Finals. Redick vs. King James, does it get any more marquee than that?

Derby Results...

If you watched the Kentucky Derby this past Saturday like I did you probably realized at least 2 things. 1) My picks SUCKED, and 2) Anything can happen when you have 19 horses in a race. As Tom Durkin (the race caller on NBC) put it "an impossible result". Mine That Bird a 50-1 shot came almost literally flying down the strech and finished 6 3/4 lenghts ahead of the 2nd place finisher Pionieer of the Nile (who I didnt think had it in him to run well....wrong again!). Calvin Borel who is quickly becoming a fan favorite won his 2nd Kentucky Derby in 3 years (his other mount was Street Sense in 2007).

Moving onto the Preakness it will be interesting to see who decides to race, and who passes it in favor of the Belmont in June.

I will once again try and give you a few blogs leading up to Preakness, and hopefully this time my picks will fare a little better.

Picture Me Startin'

So, for the second playoff game in a row, you guessed it, JJ Redick is starting. Redick is coming off a 15 point performance in the series clinching game 6 vs. Philadelphia. Although the start is coming due to injury of Courtney Lee, JJ and I will take it. Good Luck JJ.

Many of you know, I am not an NBA fan, just a Redick and King James fan, but I do have an interest in this series. I HATE BOSTON. Lets go Orlando.
