More questions are up in the air, but I can tell you one thing: Come September 13th, meet me at the mall..

$ELL OUT! vol. "Instant Buckets"

Well aside from Football finally kicking off last night, this past week hasn't been the greatest for me when it comes to the world of sports. First off, we all know about my damn injury depleted Mets... On top of that, the Yanks completed their sweep of the Sox last night. But the cherry on the top of my shitty sports week occurred this morning when I saw that my boy, "Mr. Instant Offense" Von Wafer, had signed a 2-year $5.5 million dollar contract to play with Greek powerhouse Olympiakos.

Von Wafer was my dude last year. Like my dude J.R. Smith, he made explosive plays out of basically nothing. Really the only reason why I cheered for the Rockets in the first place. But now, he's sold out the NBA to play in the less superior Euroleague. I mean, the Euro League is basically like the CFL. Or the D-League. Busch League.... All for that $$$$.

It's not he's seeing Josh Childress money by jumping over there. The competition over there is far less superior. Thriving over there (if he does) is like me dropping a c-note in a pee-wee b-ball league.

It's whatever, dude had to do what he needed to get paid. I'd like to see my him back in the NBA after it's all said and done. But until then, I'm seriously considering NOT getting a Von Hawk for Trios trip to New Orleans. If you got a problem with that, blame VON WAFER.

I Make It Rain On Them Hoes, I Make It Rain!

This morning, New York Giants Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning received a six-year extension for a BALLLLLLIN $97.5 million dollars, making him one of the highest paid player in the NFL. His deal just inches out Oakland stud shut down cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha who signed a three-year extension for 45.3 millie. Now I personally don't think we should have given Eli that much, because I think he's be more than happy with let's say an 88 millie dollar extension? But hey, as long as it doesn't punish our salary cap that much I'm all for it. Even if he were to suck dick the rest of his life, I've witnessed my G-Men win a Super Bowl. And he pretty much key to their win. So pay the man his monayyyyyyyyyyy!

Done From The Start! vol. Super Bowl XXXV

I dedicate this post for those of us who've played competitive sports back in the day. Whether it was Little League, CYO Basketball, etc.... Have you ever just looked at the opposing team and thought to yourself, "Shit, we're fucking done son!" And this is before the game has even started.

The opposing team was probably bigger, stronger, faster, more intimidating, and straight up scary! Well, this was most likely the case during the Super Bowl in 2001 between my beloved New York Giants and the Baltimore Ravens. I remember watching the introductions for the Ravens. They were a scary bunch mayne. Just look at the intensity, focus, and terror that the Ravens defensive line gives off. Ray Lewis was going all out like "Ram Band" during Towson's fight song.

But yeah, I knew from the start that the G-Men were in for a long night... No intensity whatsoever. I knew the Ravens had come to tear shit up and get things done! But hey, we got ours in XLII. =)

I SWAG WHEN I SURF!

One things for sure after last night's 100m butterfly event in Rome: Michael Phelps still swags when he surfs. Literally. Leading into the highly anticipated showdown between Phelps and American-born Serb Milorad Cavic, the Serbian berated the Olympic gold medalist continuously with trash talk.

The salty 25-year-old still bitter about his defeat in the same event in last years Olympic final in Beijing made the pre-race headlines interesting when he lambasted Phelps for staying sticking with his Speedo swimsuit and deciding to stay loyal to his longtime sponsor. Cavic offered to personally buy and deliver a more "superior" and "faster" swimsuit made by Arena. Following an epic showdown in last years Olympic games, Cavic continued to stick to the thought that he had beated Phelps in a close race despite video evidence not in his favor. Unfortunatley for Cavic, Phelps pretty much murked dudes swim career and temporarily shut ol' boy up when he defeated him again in world-record fasion.

This dude Cavic is STILL on Phelps jock, proposing a "duel" for 2010 since the two most likely won't meet again until 2011. Earth-to-Cavic. You got sonned TWICE in the same event. Stop talking and stop throwing out challenges when you're in no position too. Be lucky if you still have a sponsorship with Arena when all this is done.

The epic L of the month goes to you Milorad Cavic. You're DONE son.

Hip Hip Joseeeeeeeeeee'

Q:How awful is Jorge Posada?
A: As awful as they come

Jorge Posada, is a 4-6-3 machine. He is so much a machine, Energizer Hodings released Q2 earnings, and thanked Jorge Posada for his double play prowess. Him being a 4-6-3 machine has kept them from hitting the red.

What does Joe Girardi see in Posada? What I see is this, an old catcher, earning upwards of 10 millie a year, who has been the culprit in the NEW Yankee stadium's first wall replacement. No not from doubling off the center field wall, but the backstop had to be replaced. Yea, too many balls were getting passed Jorge, the wall was too dented, and not getting a true bounce.

This team, and its fans need Jose Molina behind the plate. Give up the bat sorta, and get the pitchers right, and the team winning again.
